European Parliament President Roberta Metsola will pay a visit to Larnaca port on Tuesday, April 2, accompanied by President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, to monitor works there in the framework of the ‘Amalthea’ plan to transport aid to Gaza.
According to a written statement by Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis, Metsola will arrive in Cyprus on Monday, April 1, and will have a tete-a-tete meeting with President Christodoulides later in the evening.
The next day, at 11.45am (local time), she will visit Larnaca port, accompanied by President Christodoulides, to monitor the progress as part of the initiative of Cyprus concerning the ‘Amalthea’ plan for a maritime corridor to provide aid to civilians in Gaza.
Subsequently, the President of Cyprus and the President of the European Parliament will visit the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) and will make statements to the Press.
Metsola will then depart from Cyprus.
