Kuwait executed seven people on Wednesday, in the first executions in the Gulf country since 2017.
A statement by the Attorney General’s Office said the seven were convicted of premeditated murder.
Two women from Ethiopia and Kuwait were among those hanged, in addition to three Kuwaiti men, a Syrian national, and a Pakistani man.
Wednesday’s executions were the first in the oil-rich country since 2017.
