Foreign Affairs Minister Constantinos Kombos and Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry had on Tuesday extensive discussions on further enhancing strategic bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East.
Kombos wrote on platform X that he met today with Sameh Shoukry in Brussels in the margins of the EU-Egypt Association Council and that the two held “extensive discussions on further enhancing Cyprus-Egypt strategic bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East including the need to revive the peace process.”
He also noted that he looks forward to welcome Sameh Shoukry in Cyprus.
From the Egyptian side, MFA Spokesperson wrote on X that the Cypriot Foreign Minister confirmed Cyprus’s unlimited support for the path of elevating relations between Egypt and the EU.
