These new additions bring Katsuya’s global footprint to 12, joining longstanding locations including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, South Beach, Dubai, Kuwait City, and The Bahamas. Providing a modern take on Japanese classics as envisioned by Master Chef Katsuya Uechi, and widely acknowledged for its sleek design from iconic visionary Philippe Starck, Katsuya delivers an original experience, exemplifying and adding to the Middle East’s vibrant and unrivaled dining scene. Chef Uechi’s signature dishes include Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, Seared Tuna with Japanese Salsa, Baked Crab Hand Rolls, Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, Wahoo Sashimi with Crispy Onion, Katsuya Ceviche, Salmon Sashimi with Caviar, and Japanese Octopus Carpaccio.

Opened on October 21st, Katsuya Villaggio, located in Doha, Qatar’s capital and situated in Villaggio Mall’s newest luxury extension, has 128 seats and is open Saturday-Thursday from 11am to 12am, and Friday from 1pm to 12am.


Katsuya The Avenues, opening on October 29th, is located in Bahrain’s latest and largest retail development. The restaurant has 205 seats and features panoramic views of Manama Bay with ocean-front outdoor seating. Operating hours are Saturday-Wednesday 11am to 11pm, and Thursday-Friday 11am to 12am.
