Jeju: South Korea’s southern Jeju Island has received more than 300 millimeters (11.8 inches) of rain over two days, marking the heaviest November rain in 101 years for the region, local media reported on Saturday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the region recorded rainfall ranging from 150 to 347 millimeters from Friday to early Saturday, as reported by Seoul-based Yonhap News agency, citing the Jeju branch of the Korea Meteorological Administration. This substantial rainfall is unprecedented since weather observations began in the region in 1923.
