Japan’s industrial production increased 0.2% month-o-month in November 2022, the first rise since August, according to revised data from the Economy, Trade, and Industry Ministry on Wednesday.
The initial reading for the month was a 0.1% decline, following a 3.2% contraction in October.
On an annual basis, industrial production fell 0.9% in November, revised from a flash reading of a 1.3% annual drop.
Japan’s core machinery orders decreased 8.3% from a month ago, much worse than market projections of a 1% dip.
