‘Italy to get 446 mn from EU for 2023 natural disasters’

The European Commission has proposed to allocate 446.6 million euros in aid for Italy in response to natural disasters registered in 2023, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.

A reported 378.8 million will be earmarked for floods recorded in the Emilia Romagna region in May and 67.8 million to Tuscany over floods in October and November, the statement added.

Overall, over one billion euros will be distributed in aid, including to Slovenia, Austria, Greece and France.
