The integrated e-justice system will enhance the efficiency and quality of our judicial system, Cyprus’ Ministry of Justice and Public Order said in a statement welcoming the launch of the integrated e-justice information system.
The integrated operation of the system marks the transition to the new digital era in the field of justice, it said.
‘The integrated system will undoubtedly enhance the efficiency and quality of our judicial system’, it noted, stating that its benefits are many, such as saving users time and money, greater security as regards storage of digitised documents, easier search for files and their simultaneous viewing by more users, security of payments, saving working hours and better utilisation of staff, direct communication and updating government services, lawyers and litigants on the development of cases concerning them.
The Ministry said that the Government gives high priority to the reform of the judicial system and actively supports any innovative solutions and measures aimed a
t building a modern and efficient system of justice administration, for the benefit of citizens and businesses.
It added that the use of technology ‘undoubtedly’ makes a positive contribution to enhancing the quality of justice by addressing, along with other projects, the long-standing problem of delays.
