Prime Minister Saad Hariri received today at the "Center House" a delegation of the Lebanese-Turkish Business Council, headed from the Turkish side by Rona Yircali (chairman of "Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey" DEIK), and from the Lebanese side by Wajih Bizri, in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon Cagatay Erciyes.
After the meeting, Bizri said: "This council was formed 14 years ago and has been following Lebanese Turkish business ever since. Our visit today to Prime Minister Hariri aims to present the council's activities. We invited his Excellency to visit Turkey at the head of a large economic delegation after the formation of the new government. Prime Minister Hariri encourages the council and promised to visit Turkey to stimulate the economic integration between the two countries."
He added: "A large number of Turkish journalists from the most important newspapers accompanied the delegation. They are trying to explore the situation in Lebanon. We invited them so that they see the good situation in our country and change their impression that we are an unstable country. We want to encourage our Turkish brothers and assure them that the situation in Lebanon is stable politically, economically and on the security level. We are working to develop tourism, so that we increase the number of Turkish tourists who can visit Lebanon every year."
Hariri also received a delegation from the Board of Trustees of Al-Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association, headed by Mohamed Amin Daouk.
