Haaland Breaks Goal Contribution Record as Manchester City Draw with Brighton

Manchester: Manchester City drew 2-2 with Brighton and Hove Albion in a match where Norwegian striker Erling Haaland made history, as Week 29 of the English Premier League continued with five matches on Saturday. According to Anadolu Agency, Haaland scored from a penalty kick in the 11th minute at the Etihad Stadium, breaking Alan Shearer's record of 100 goals in 100 games. Haaland became the first player in league history to contribute 100 goals in just 94 games. Brighton equalized with Pervis Estupinan's goal in the 21st minute. The hosts regained the lead in the 39th minute with a goal from Egyptian striker Omar Marmus. However, Manchester City could not hold onto their advantage as Abdukadir Khusanov equalized in the 48th minute. With their sixth draw of the season, Manchester City are ranked fifth with 48 points, while Brighton are in the seventh spot with 47 points. Saturday results included Everton drawing 1-1 with West Ham United, Ipswitch losing 2-4 to Nottingham Forest, Southampton falling 1-2 t o Wolverhampton, and Bournemouth being defeated 1-2 by Brentford.
