In May the Government will announce its strategy for upgrading higher education, the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides said on Tuesday, addressing an event organized by the University of Nicosia. He said that a total of five ministries will be involved in this new strategy.
The President said that there are tremendous prospects for higher education and the government wishes to utilize those, adding that the new strategy will take into account the concerns and suggestions put forward by the universities on the island.
The President noted that the Ministries of Education, Labor, Interior, Finance and Foreign Affairs are involved in the strategy and prior to its announcement, a consultation will take place with the universities.
