ANKARA: A drug smuggler, operating in the French port city of Marseille and wanted by an Interpol red notice, was apprehended in Morocco, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin has announced.
As a result of the operation conducted with the Moroccan authorities, Felix Bingui, “one of Marseille’s biggest drug traffickers,” was arrested in the Moroccan port city of Casablanca, Darmanin said on X on Saturday.
Bingui, 33, who fled to Morocco last year, was wanted by Interpol on a red notice.
Nicknamed “Cat,” Bingui is believed to be the leader of the Marseille-based drug gang Yoda.
