Formula One will travel to the UK this weekend for the 10th round of the 2022 season.
The competitors will drive at full throttle over 52 laps of the 5.891-kilometer (3.6-mile) Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire.
Silverstone had hosted the first Formula One Grand Prix championship race in May 1950.
The 2021 world champion and Red Bull Racing’s Dutch driver Max Verstappen eyes another victory as he won six races this season.
Verstappen won races in the US, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Spain, Azerbaijan, and Canada.
The 24-year-old is leading the 2022 driver standings with 175 points.
His rival Lewis Hamilton from the UK has won the British Grand Prix for a record of eight times, last in 2021.
Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, has bagged 77 points to be in the sixth position in this season’s driver standings.
The British racer is yet to win a Grand Prix in the 2022 Formula One season, but Hamilton it to the podium in the season-opening Bahrain GP in March, and Canada in June.
Sunday’s British Grand Prix will start at 1400 GMT and a qualifying session will be on Saturday.
