Cyprus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantinos Kombos travels to Brussels on Wednesday where he will attend on Thursday the informal meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
Ministers will have an informal working lunch, in the presence of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Turkey aspires to join the EU and its participation in the meeting comes after a five year hiatus.
A Foreign Affairs Ministry press release says that the Ministers will exchange views on the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine with the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, followed by an update on the current developments in Venezuela.
The meeting will conclude with a discussion on the humanitarian situation in Gaza, in the presence of the Special Coordinator of the United Nations Organization for Humanitarian Aid and Reconstruction in Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, it adds.
