A minor explosion occurred near the Israeli Embassy in Nicosia at 1:37 am on Saturday. According to the police, a prompt response was launched, with officers, including explosives experts, swiftly arriving at the scene. Following investigations, a small metallic object was discovered approximately 30 meters from the embassy, containing a minimal amount of explosive material, which was detonated without causing any significant damage. In the area, two individuals were spotted on foot, and another two were inside a parked car on a nearby street. It appears that the two pedestrians had arrived in the area using the parked vehicle. Within the specific car, two knives and a hammer were found, resulting in the immediate arrest of the 21-year-old owner of the car on charges of carrying bladed weapons and possession of a potentially offensive instrument. All four individuals, aged between 17 and 21, are currently under investigation at the Police Headquarters.
