European stock markets closed Friday with gains to finish the week on a higher note.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 3.66 points, or 0.84%, to 439.13.
The UK’s FTSE 100 gained four points, or 0.06%, to close at 7,476, while Germany’s DAX 30 rose 106 points, or 0.74%, to 14,370.
France’s CAC 40 added 30 points, or 0.46%, to finish the fifth and final trading day of the week at 6,677.
Italy’s FTSE MIB was up 70 points, or 0.29%, to 24,277 at the closing bell.
Spain’s IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, soaring 64 points, or 0.78%, to 8,289.
