European stocks opened higher on Monday as concerns over volatility persist around the globe due to monetary policies.
The STOXX Europe 600 index was up 0.32% to 392.5 points, while Germany’s DAX 40 index increased 0.46% to 12,498 points.
The UK’s FTSE 100 index rose 0.4% to 6,885 points, and France’s CAC 40 index climbed 0.52% to 5,962 points.
Spain’s IBEX 35 index was up 1.15% to 7,467 points, while Italy’s MIB 30 index rose 0.22% to 20,976 points.
The euro/dollar parity is at 0.9740, up from 0.9720 at last week’s close.
