European stock markets were down at the final bell on Friday, as exchanges finished the week on a lower note.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 4.80 points, or 1.04%, to finish at 457.70.
The UK's FTSE 100 decreased 29 points, or 0.37%, to end the session at 7,878. Germany's DAX 30, meanwhile, fell 265 points, or 1.72%, to close at 15,209.
France's CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 130 points, or 1.78%, to finish the week at 7,187.
Italy's FTSE MIB lost 291 points, or 1.07%, to 26,986. Spain's IBEX 35 declined 30 points, or 0.33%, to 9,201.
