European stock markets closed with losses Thursday, surrendering some of the previous day’s gains.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 4.18 points, or 0.97%, at 427.26.
The UK’s FTSE 100 fell 28 points, or 0.37%, to close at 7,469.
Germany’s DAX 30 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 183 points, or 1.3%, to end the session at 13,914.
France’s CAC 40 lost 62 points, or 0.95%, to 6,517.
Italy’s FTSE MIB shed 298 points, or 1.24%, to finish the fourth trading day of the week at 23,813.
Spain’s IBEX 35 decreased 30 points, or 0.36%, to 8,272 at the closing bell.
