ISTANBUL: Stock exchanges in Europe closed Tuesday with losses.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 1.43 points, or 0.28%, to close at 517.30.
The UK’s FTSE 100 shed 18 points, or 0.22%, to end the day at 8,164. Germany’s DAX also trimmed 72 points, or 0.39%, to 18,518.
France’s CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, losing 52 points, or 0.69%, to wrap the session up at 7,580.
Italy’s FTSE MIB, meanwhile, fell almost seven points, or 0.02%, to finish the day at 34,369.
Spain’s IBEX 35 decreased 52 points, or 0.47%, to close at 11,090.
