Paris: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen affirmed Monday following an emergency summit in Paris that Europe is fully committed to supporting Ukraine with military aid. “Europe carries its full share of the military assistance to Ukraine,” she stated, emphasizing the collective effort of the European nations in providing crucial support.
According to Anadolu Agency, von der Leyen highlighted Ukraine’s right to peace through strength, underscoring the importance of respecting its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, alongside ensuring strong security guarantees. She also emphasized the necessity for the European Union to bolster its defense capabilities, indicating a strategic shift in the bloc’s approach to regional security and military readiness.
