Eurozone industrial production increased by 3.3% on an annual basis in October, according to figures released by the EU’s statistical authority on Tuesday.
Industrial production in the EU27 was also up by 3.6% year-on-year, Eurostat data showed.
Compared to October 2020, production of non-durable consumer goods in the EU rose by 7.9%, capital goods by 3.5%, energy by 3.1% and both intermediate goods and durable consumer goods by 2.6%.
Among EU member states with available data, the largest annual hikes were seen in Lithuania (+22.7%), Greece (+17.2%) and Denmark (+14%), read the Eurostat statement.
The steepest declines were recorded in Romania (-6.6%), Portugal (-6.5%) and the Czech Republic (-4.9%).
