ANKARA: Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray announced Thursday that FC Copenhagen’s Elias Jelert Kristensen has joined the Istanbul club.
The Danish defender has signed a five-year contract with the Lions, according to a statement.
A transfer fee of pound 9 million ($9.7 million) is to be paid to FC Copenhagen in six equal installments over three seasons, the statement added.
The 21-year-old full-back helped his team bag two Danish league titles along with a Danish Cup and also played against Galatasaray in the 2023-24 season’s UEFA Champions League group stage clashes.
Separately, the young Danish international made three appearances for the national team.
