The election calendar is running in Turkey. Today was the deadline for completing the documents to be submitted for presidential candidates the political parties nominate. The period for the presidential candidates nominated by political parties to complete the information and documents that they should submit ended today at 5:00 pm.
* New Welfare Party which had requested LGBTI associations to be closed to participate in the People's Alliance decided to join the alliance. Muhammed Ali Fatih Erbakan, the President of the party had announced four days ago that they would not be participating in any alliance.
* Zekeriya Yapicioglu, the President of the Free Cause Party (HÜDA PAR) also announced today that they will be participating in the May 14 elections on the AKP lists.
* The People's Alliance and the Labor and Freedom Alliance submitted today their alliance protocols to the Supreme Election Council.
Dicle Anter is a candidate
Dicle Anter, the son of journalist Musa Anter who was killed on September 20, 1992, made an application to the Green and Left Party to be nominated in the parliamentary elections.
The People's Democratic Party (HDP) announced yesterday that they will be competing in the elections under Green Left Party. Facing closure ahead of the elections, the party will not take any chances, said HDP Co-Chairperson Mithat Sancar.
Gergerlioglu to run for another term
Ömer Faruk Gergerlioglu, Izmit MP of HDP had said before that he would not be a candidate announced today that he will be a candidate again.

Cevizoglu a candidate from AKP
Journalist Hulki Cevizoglu applied to the Justice and Development Party (AKP) of Recep Tayyip Erdogan for candidacy.
Cevizoglu is a renowned journalist and is famous for the program he presents called the Wallnut Shell (Ceviz Kabugu).
Pala is a candidate for CHP
Prof. Kayihan Pala applied to the Republican People's Party (CHP) in order to enter the elections for becoming a Bursa MP.
He is a physician who also was the Manager of the Uludag University Public Health Training and Research Center. Pala was in the COVID-19 Monitoring Group of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB) during the pandemic
