Detainees for Sunday’s attack on election rally in Erzurum released

Anadolu Agency reported, based on information received from the Governorship of Erzurum that 19 people have been identified by the police teams from the video recordings during the attack. 15 persons have been taken into custody while four are being searched.

The 15 suspects were sent to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station yesterday (May 8). One was released after giving a statement to the prosecutor while 14 were sent to court and released by the court, under judicial control.

Attendees, including children, in Imamoglu's public meeting in Erzurum on Sunday were injured in the attack, throwing stones at the gathering and Imamoglu's bus.

17 people who received treatment after the attack on the election rally have been discharged from the hospitals
