Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna departs Thursday for Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she will pay a two-day working visit.
According to a press release issued by the presidency, during her stay in Slovenia, Raouna will hold separate meetings with Marco Stucin, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and Igor Mally, State Secretary for European Affairs at the Office of the Prime Minister.
During her visit the Slovenian side will brief Raouna on the best practices over the Presidency of the Council of the EU, in view of the coming Cypriot presidency in the first half of 2026.
The agenda items include issues pertaining to the European agenda, such as enlargement, the Western Balkans, the future of Europe, institutional reforms and the EU – Turkish relations.
Raouna will also brief her interlocutors on the current situation facing Cyprus concerning migration.
The Deputy Minister returns home on April 5.
