Cyprus' President, Nikos Christodoulides, is returning from Jordan, where he was attending the international conference on Gaza, due to a fire ranging out of control in the Paphos district. CNA learns that upon his arrival at Larnaca airport, the President of the Republic is set to visit the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC), where the Ministers of Defence, Justice, Agriculture, the Director of the Forestry Department, the spokesperson of the Fire Service, and other officials are currently monitoring the operations. Greece said it was sending two Canadair CL-415 aircraft to assist in the firefighting efforts, while, according to sources, Jordan was to also send aircraft.
