Cyprus President goes to Paris for Olympic Games opening ceremony

Cyprus President, Nikos Christodoulides accompanied by First Lady, Philippa Karsera Christodoulides, is leaving for Paris on Friday morning, to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, at the invitation of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

On Friday evening, President Christodoulides and the First Lady are to attend a reception at the Presidential Palace, hosted by President Macron and the President of the International Olympic Committee, and then attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

On Saturday, President Christodoulides is to attend sports events in which Cypriot athletes participate, while in the evening he is to attend, together with the First Lady, a reception hosted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to France in honour of the members of the Cyprus National Olympic Team.

The President is to also attend sports events in which Cypriot athletes participate and visit the Olympic Village on Sunday.

President Christodoulides and the First Lady are to return to Cyprus
in the afternoon of July 29.
