The plenary of the Cyprus House condemned on Thursday the recent terrorist attack in Moscow and observed a minute’s silence in memory of the victims.
The President of the Parliament, Annita Demetriou, said that the Plenary expresses deep sadness and is repulsed by the barbaric terrorist attack carried out by armed Islamists at a concert venue in Moscow, which claimed the lives of 139 people.
She stressed that such acts of mindless violence, targeting innocent citizens, women and small children, are deplorable and violate the universal values of peace, justice, tolerance and humanity.
She noted that the House of Representatives condemns, in the strongest terms, the bloody attack in Moscow, as well as every heinous act of blind hatred and extremist violence, wherever it comes from.
