Cyprus MP in Kigali for Parliamentary Forum

Cyprus member of the House of Representatives Alexandra Attalides is traveling to Kigali, Rwanda, on Sunday, to participate in a Parliamentary Forum, at the invitation of the European Parliamentary Forum on Sexual and Reproductive Rights.

The Forum is taking place in the framework of the "Women Deliver 2023" World Conference, between 17-20 July.

A press release issued by the House says that the Parliamentary Forum will address the role of parliamentary leadership in promoting women's health and rights, as well as enacting legislation and mobilizing funding to promote sexual and reproductive health and related rights.

The Parliamentary Forum promotes networking between parliamentarians from around the world who promote improved access to sexual and reproductive health and related rights.

It aims to encourage collective action to advance gender equality, strengthen the accountability of leaders, inspire action and mobilize the political will and coordination required to ensure impartial access to health and family-related rights programming.
