Cyprus and Oman commit to expand cooperation

The Foreign Ministers of Cyprus and Oman confirmed their commitment to further strengthen and expand cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

The pledge was made during a working visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos to Muscat.

According to a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kombos had the opportunity to brief his Omani counterpart on the latest developments on the Cyprus issue and exchanged views on EU-Oman relations, as well as on current regional developments.

The Foreign Minister paid a working visit to Oman on 27-28 January, where he met with his counterpart Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi. He also visited the Oman Maritime Security Centre and held separate meetings with the Minister of the Royal Office, Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammed al Nu’amani and the Minister of State for Political Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa Al Harthy.
