CONFERENCE FOR PALESTINE BEGINS IN TURKEY

ISTANBUL, -- A conference for Palestine began in Turkey Sunday with the participation of 25 institutes under the theme "Palestinians of Turkey and nat'l Issues".

Head of the conference's preparation committee Mohammad Mushanish said in a statement to KUNA that the conference aimed at supporting the issues of the Palestinian people in the occupied lands and abroad.

The conference was held with the official participation from the Palestine Friends Group in the Turkish Parliament as well as a number of Palestinian figures.

Some 1,500 Palestinian families are living in Turkey most of them are in Istanbul.
