A massive internet and cable TV outage hit Comcast Xfinity subscribers early Tuesday across the US, affecting many states.
In some areas, internet and TV services are down, while some regions experience unsteady connection, according to local reports.
Xfinity outages reported peaked with over 54,000 reports coming at 8.51 a.m. EDT (1351GMT) according to Downdetector, an online platform that provides users with real-time information about the status of various websites and services.
Comcast and Xfinity, however, are yet to issue a statement about the outage, except a message on the company’s outage status page that states there is an issue that will be resolved at 10.49 a.m. EDT (1549GMT).
On the east coast, the outage has stretched from New York and New Jersey to Philadelphia and South Carolina, the reports said.
While Chicago was hit in the north, there were outages across California, from Los Angeles to the Bay Area, including San Francisco and Oakland, and up north in Seattle in the state of Washington.
