BEIJING: The return capsule of China’s crewed Shenzhou-18 spacecraft has successfully landed in northern China, marking the completion of a significant mission for the astronauts aboard the Tiangong space station. The crew, consisting of Ye Guangfu, Li Cong, and Li Guangsu, had been residing and working in orbit since their launch on April 25. Their return to the Dongfeng landing site in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region signifies the conclusion of their over six-month-long mission.
According to Anadolu Agency, which cited the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), the Shenzhou-18 crew separated from the Tiangong space station earlier on Sunday. This separation followed the handover of their responsibilities to the newly arrived Shenzhou-19 crew, who launched on Wednesday. The successful completion of this mission highlights China’s ongoing advancements in space exploration.
