Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has contracted the coronavirus and will miss a match against Juventus, the English football side confirmed Tuesday.
“N’Golo Kante has not travelled, with the French midfielder absent after testing positive for COVID-19, while Mason Mount is another absentee having been unable to shake off the injury that kept him out of Saturday’s defeat to Manchester City,” the Blues said in a statement.
Chelsea said Reece James and Christian Pulisic remain sidelined.
Kante, 30, helped his team win a UEFA Champions League title, Europa League trophy and a Super Cup.
The Champions League match with Chelsea will be played Wednesday at Turin’s Juventus Stadium.
