With immediate effect and for a period of approximately one month, seawall reinstatement works will be carried out [east of Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre] within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22 deg. 17.058’N / 114 deg. 10.471’E
(B) 22 deg. 17.053’N / 114 deg. 10.495’E
(C) 22 deg. 16.973’N / 114 deg. 10.498’E
(D) 22 deg. 16.974’N / 114 deg. 10.479’E
(E) 22 deg. 16.991’N / 114 deg. 10.463’E
The works will be carried out by one derrick lighter. One tug boat and one work boat will provide assistance.
A working area of approximately 50 metres around the lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the lighter.
The hours of work will be round the clock.
A silt curtain, extending from the sea surface to the seabed, will be established within the works area. The silt curtain is a large piece of netting used to contain mud and sediments.
Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

According to report from the press and authorities, the planned 24-hour strike at Brunsbuettel locks by German workers’ union ver.di will commence at 06:00 hours local time tomorrow, 21 April.
The Kiel Canal authorities advise that delays during the daytime are not expected, depending on the availability of private linesmen. However, delays are possible at nighttime.
