Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened the day at 1,865.04 points on Thursday, up 0.41%, or 7.64 points from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed the midweek at 1,857.83 points, increasing by 2.64%, with a daily trading volume of 38.7 billion Turkish liras ($2.9 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 13.3190 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 13.3180.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 15.0910, compared to 15,0900, while one British pound traded for 17.7500 Turkish liras, up from 17,6640.
One barrel of Brent crude oil was sold for around $69.8 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
