BOLIVIA, TURKEY SEEK TO STRENGTHEN RELATIONS

Bolivia and Turkey are seeking to strengthen their relations with the future opening of an Andean-Amazonian embassy in Ankara.

According to a tweet from the Bolivian foreign ministry, the head of the sector, Fernando Huanacuni, gave his counterpart from Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu, a letter of intent to establish that diplomatic headquarters during a meeting held in the Turkish capital.

In another tweet, the Bolivian Foreign Affairs Ministry reported that the meeting between the two diplomatic authorities also evaluated 'areas of cooperation.' In addition, he explains that the foreign ministers coordinated the First Meeting of the Joint Economic Commission and take back the mechanism of political consultations in September.

Huanacuni is on an official visit to Turkey to attend the inauguration ceremony of the president of that country, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who won the general elections in June with more than 50 percent of the votes.
