Bioethics Committees of Cyprus & Greece sign MoC

The Cyprus National Bioethics Committee signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the respective National Bioethics and Technology Ethics Committee of Greece, aiming to strengthen and deepen their cooperation.

A press release issued on Monday said that the signing took place in January in Athens by the President of the Cypriot committee, Senior Vice Rector Professor Constantinos Fellas and the Vice President and Chairman of the Greek Committee, Charalambos Tsekeri.

The objective of the MoU is “to deepen relations between the two committees, to promote their common objectives and interests and to broaden their scientific and educational cooperation, within the framework of their defined competences and in accordance with the legislation governing them.”

The MoC signing was followed by a “very fruitful discussion”, where the prospects for joint actions were examined, which will be gradually made public, the press release added.
