"This year, more than 700 workplaces were named to the Best Workplaces for Commuters list, another record-breaking year for our organization," said Julie Bond, Program Director for Best Workplaces for Commuters. "We continue to grow, as more employers affirm their commitment to their employees by offering robust commute programs, like telework, discounted transit passes, carpool/vanpool, and walking/bicycling-friendly amenities."

Best Workplaces for Commuters expanded its program to Canada and now recognizes and supports Canadian-based employers, best sites and universities.

BWC members receive national recognition and access to an array of support services to strengthen their commuter programs, including webinars, guidebooks, and peer-to-peer networking opportunities. BWC also provides tools to help workplaces assess how commuter programs benefit their organizations, their employees, and the environment.

As an added benefit, BWC launched a new 2024 "Commuter Benefits Guide for Employer Fringe Benefits." Commuter benefits encourage American workers to get to and from work in ways that reduce air pollution, improve public health, increase worker productivity, and reduce expenses for employers and employees. BWC also recognizes and provides support for telework, a key benefit of a successful employee commuter benefits package, increasing program adoption nationally.
