Arab Leaders Congratulate Trump on US Election Victory.

Cairo: Arab leaders congratulated Republican candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday for winning the US elections. Trump claimed victory in the Nov. 5 elections after projections indicated he had defeated Democrat Kamala Harris to become the 47th president of the country.

According to Anadolu Agency, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his congratulations via his X account, highlighting the importance of strengthening the strategic relationship and partnership between Qatar and the United States. He emphasized the shared efforts in promoting security and stability both regionally and globally.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi also extended his congratulations to Trump, underscoring his hopes for achieving peace and stability in the region. He expressed a desire to collaborate in advancing the interests of both the Egyptian and American peoples.

Similarly, Jordanian King Abdullah II congratulated President-elect Trump, as noted in a post on his X account. The king expressed his anticipa
tion of working again with Trump to bolster Jordan’s longstanding partnership with the United States, aiming to serve regional and global peace and stability.

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, amidst his country’s challenges, also extended his congratulations to Trump on his reelection. The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, echoed similar sentiments, expressing the UAE’s commitment to continuing collaborative efforts with the US towards a future of opportunity and prosperity.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressed confidence in the United States’ support under Trump’s leadership for the aspirations of the Palestinian people. Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani also celebrated Trump’s electoral success, emphasizing Iraq’s dedication to enhancing bilateral relations with the US.

Moroccan King Mohammed VI, in a message published by Morocco’s official news agency, highlighted the shared values and strategic partnership between Morocco and the United
States. He recognized Trump’s victory as an acknowledgment of his patriotic spirit and commitment to defending US interests.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated Trump via a phone call, expressing Saudi Arabia’s eagerness to further strengthen the historical and strategic ties with the United States. This victory would make Trump the second US president to serve non-consecutive terms, following Grover Cleveland in the late 1800s.
