ALGIERS, -- Algeria has expressed its strong condemnation and deep indignation at the terrorist attack which targeted a wedding ceremony in the Turkish city of Gaziantep, leaving dozens dead and injured, says the Foreign Affairs Ministry here.
"Algeria expresses its strong condemnation and deep indignation following the terrorist attack which targeted a wedding ceremony in the Turkish city of Gaziantep, leaving dozens dead and injured among the innocents," the Ministry said in a statement here Sunday.
"In these painful circumstances, Algeria offers its condolences to the Turkish people and government as well as the families of the victims and assures them of its solidarity and compassion in this painful ordeal."
The Ministry stressed that "this perfidious act that shows once again that its perpetrators are bloodthirsty and obscurantists with no religious and human scruple, we call, as Algeria has always repeated, for combining efforts and strengthening the international co-operation to combat this evil which is a threat and danger to the security and stability of peoples and countries".
