Turkish security forces killed three PKK terrorists in a clash in the southeastern Mardin province, the governor's office said Tuesday.
Three terrorists were killed during the clash with the terror group in the Nusaybin district, according to a statement that said the operation is ongoing in the region.
The statement said several explosives and organizational documents were also seized.
Security forces also destroyed explosive devices planted by the PKK terrorist group on a road in the province.
More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015. The civilian casualties include many women and children.
