Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,402.26 points on Tuesday, up 0.19% or 1.03 points from the previous close.
At Monday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 0.48% at 1,399.65 points, with a daily trading volume of more than 12.6 billion Turkish liras ($1.5 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate slightly rose to 8.3630 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, from 8.3570 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 9.9290 versus 9.9250 a day before, while one British pound traded for 11.6460 Turkish liras, down from 11.6770.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $72.68 as of 10.10 a.m. local time (0710GMT).
