Turkey will deport three Iraqi nationals, who were arrested for their suspected links to the terror group Daesh/ISIS, a security source said.
The suspects were detained last Friday as part of a probe launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office in northern Samsun province, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media.
On the directives of the prosecutor’s office, the suspects were handed over to police for deportation.
In 2013, Turkey became one of the first countries to declare Daesh/ISIS a terror group.
Turkey has since been attacked by the terror group multiple times, with more than 300 people killed and hundreds more injured in at least 10 suicide bombings, seven bomb attacks and four armed assaults.
In response, Turkey launched anti-terror operations at home and abroad to prevent further attacks.
