Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Aug. 10

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour in Turkey’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 636 Turkish liras between 08.00 and 00.00 (0500-2100 GMT) and the lowest will be 396.61 liras at 04.00 and 06.00 local time (0100 and 0300 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Monday’s electricity market showed an increase of 6.08% to 315.63 million liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 586.98 liras and 586.32 liras, respectively.

The electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market for Monday is set as 636 liras between 09.00 and 23.00 (0600-2000 GMT) and the lowest at 373.67 liras at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).

US$1 equals 8.65 Turkish liras at 1201 GMT on Monday.
